Story of KPDC FPC
In 2023, KPDC FPC built on a strong foundation in poultry farming and its market, which dates back to 2010. The Kerala Poultry Development Council (KPDC) was established in 2013, headquartered in Kannur, with the goal of uniting scattered and unorganized small-scale poultry farmers from remote villages across Kerala. Acting as a federation of small-scale poultry farmers, KPDC organized Poultry Self-Help Groups (PSHGs), providing farmers with the means to generate income from their poultry businesses.
Since its inception, KPDC has significantly contributed to employment generation, financially empowering individuals, and improving their social and economic status. As a testament to its efforts, KPDC is ISO 150-9001-2008 certified and recognized by the Government of India under the Ministry of Urban Development. The organization currently supports over a thousand PSHGs in Kerala.
In September 2023, KPDC expanded its vision by launching a new venture, KPDC Farmers Producer Company Ltd. (KPDC FPC). This initiative serves as a cornerstone for the development of farmers across Kerala, providing them with a broader platform to engage in diverse agricultural sectors such as food grains, crops, dairy, piggery, rabbit farming, and fisheries

To identify and classify and systematically Organize all kind of Scattered farmers in the Remote villages of our State are unorganized to help and assist them to attain financial stability through various implementation of highly accepted Techniques, newly invented agri machines to give them proper trainings by Various program oriented classes and Coupled them with a Constant distributing Market
VISION
To create an environment conducive to Agriculture sector, mainly food grains, Crops Paddy, Diary, Poultry, Piggery, Rabits, fisheries farming etc. and generate all kinds of lively hood to the farmers Community of Kerala and enrich their innovations by giving newly added Scientific and IT Technologies to improve their efficiency foster a sustainable future.

Growth & Future
Over the past 10 years, KPDC has experienced remarkable growth in all aspects of poultry farming. “We believe we can effectively support farmers only if we prove ourselves strong enough for them to rely on,” says our Managing Director and Board of Directors. KPDC operates a well-equipped parent stock facility in Karnataka, with hatcheries in Kannur, Thrissur, and Thiruvananthapuram.
KPDC FPC also manages state-of-the-art meat processing plants in Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod, as well as a fully equipped poultry feed mill in Mangalore, Karnataka. We support thousands of Poultry Self Help Groups (PSHGs), offering technical assistance through our highly qualified staff and sales team. KPDC FPC operates a secure software platform with an online mobile app, along with sales outlets for various products, including chicken, other meats, and agricultural goods. Our ready-to-cook products and a specially designed food truck further promote street food ideas.

Future Plans
KPDC-FPC Ltd. plans to expand its marketing network across major cities and remote villages in Kerala, offering processed meats such as chicken, goat, pig, duck, and rabbit, along with fisheries and food grains. Key highlights include:

- Food trucks promoting street food using chicken and by-products.
- Ready-to-cook chicken with masalas.
- Sales of value-added agricultural products like juices, squashes, and jams.
- Production of natural hygienic products like paddy, arrowroot powder, and roasted masalas.
- Mobile lab technology for soil testing and animal husbandry.

- IT services for bill payments, banking, and training, along with solar water pumps and panels for farmers.

Uniting Farmers of Kerala
In the mission of uniting poultry farmers in Kerala, KPDC has founded Kerala Farmers Chicken, a franchisee system to grow, supply, and sell high-quality chicken through direct & online modes. KPDC will supply high-quality chicken along with feeds to the poultry farmers of Kerala. After 35-40 days, the chickens will be distributed to the Kerala Chicken Stores around Kerala and will be sold through Mobile/Web applications or direct purchases.
Through Kerala Farmers Chicken, KPDC also aims to provide support to farmers through learning sessions and conduct awareness through learning sessions regarding loans/schemes & farming methods.
